Thank you for your interest in our App PlayGolf18. The protection of your personal data is very important to us. This Privacy Policy informs you about how we collect, use, and protect your personal data, especially in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

2. What Data We Collect

When using PlayGolf18, we collect the following data:

  • Account Data: Email address and encrypted password upon registration (processed via Supabase).
  • Game Data (App Usage): Entered golf scores, handicap, shot distances, and statistical performance data.
  • Device Data: Device IDs and crash reports for troubleshooting.
  • Payment Data: For premium subscriptions, purchases are processed via Apple (App Store), Google (Play Store), or Stripe. We do not store any credit card information, but only manage the subscription status (via RevenueCat).

3. Purposes of Data Processing

We use your data for the following purposes:

  • Provision and maintenance of App features (e.g., saving rounds and calculating statistics).
  • Provision of the "AI Caddy" and "AI Training Coach": Anonymized game data is sent to AI services (e.g., Google GenAI) to generate personalized advice.
  • Displaying Advertisements: For users of the free version, we use Google AdMob, which uses device identifiers to display personalized ads (consent is requested upon app start).

4. Disclosure to Third Parties

We only share data with the following service providers to the extent necessary:

  • Supabase: Database and authentication hosting.
  • RevenueCat: Management of in-app subscriptions.
  • Google AdMob: Ad network for the free version.
  • Vercel: Hosting of the web application.

All third-party providers are contractually obligated to comply with the GDPR.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict processing, and data portability. You can delete your account and all associated data directly in the app (under "Profile") at any time or write us an email.
